Week-End 3 Day Lilly Sale Online!

Darlings, its the week-end and time for a Lilly Coupon Code! I was so excited to get an email from Splash of Pink announcing a further 15% off Fall 2009 items, even those that are already marked down! Sadly, the items I want are not to be found in my size. I've been trolling around the other online Lilly stores but I don't see any other Fall 09 sales going on...if you know of any, please let me know. I do love a sale. Happy week-end!

All Set for Halloween

Who is psyched for Halloween tomorrow? (yay--candy!!) I know that I can't wait to see all of the kiddies in their costumes! Lets hope sweetpea lets me dress her in her pumpkin costume...she's pretty feisty so we'll just have to see.

I got into the spirit of things a little early today and broke out some orange accessories from one of my favorite stores.My beautiful Mother helped me start my Hermes collection at fourteen (thank you mama for understanding how grand an Hermes scarf makes a young girl feel). Mind you, I don't need any extra encouragement to wear orange, since I love it and am inclined to break it out often, but its so fun to get into the holiday spirit!

Lilly Resort Collection

Just about the only redeeming quality with 95 degree heat in late October is the continuing ability to run around in my summer Lilly. And now that Resort 2009 is here, the choices simply increase! Ladies, its love. I am on a shopping diet (boo!) but I am just swooning over these green and pink lovelies! How adorable is the little crab fabric? Loves. Loves!

They even have these cuties in little girl sizes for sweetpea. An innocent little cruise over to my local Lilly is most definitely in order!

Inherently Fabulous, But Even More Fabulous in Pink

One of my favorite things to do when I can't sleep is search the web for all things pink. I was excited to come across Aspinal's briefcase (now on sale, yes!), and matching make up bag. I would love to have a job where I could carry a pink briefcase!

The typewriter is also gorgeous in pink, for those of us who know how to type. As for moi, my pick is the pink enamel pen from Chopard. Its a heavy pen, and it just screams luxury. What are your favorite pink items?

Dr. Cullen and LV (sigh)...

Tonight Sweetpea and I were at the mall doing some errands when we came across this gorgeous new handbag at LV. It was calling my name ever so innocently, from the display case, so further investigation was warranted. The Shopper Monogram is gorgeous and actually quite big...I loved it! But at its price point, it is firmly relegated to my "I wish!" list...


I saved the best for last though! Who walked by me at the mall, but Dr. Cullen the 2nd! Does Peter Facenelli have a twin perhaps? This man was, I am NOT exagerating, a dead ringer for Dr. Cullen. I think he knows it as well, because he has the SAME hair as Dr. Cullen does in Twilight. Surely that is no coincidence, the distinctive color, the style... hmm. He was even dressed a la Dr. Cullen, in beautiful dark jeans, a blue button down, and a navy cashmere sweater. Naturally, I had to stare at him a little (perhaps I was a little mesmerized) to make sure my eyes were not deceiving me. And they weren't! I know I am no longer a teenager, but I just can't help it, I have the biggest crush on Dr. Cullen. Can't wait for the new movie to be out soon...

Just two of my latest fun finds on Esty! I asked the very creative mastermind at my duck duck goose to create a custom lunchbox for sweetpea. While baby girl doesn't technically need a lunchbox, I couldn't resist! This is great for her snacks and bottles on the go.

For myself, I couldn't say no to the darling little monkey I found at cutedesigns His name is Marvin, and he is so tiny and perfect! Sweetpea has her eye on him, but so far he is still mine.

Bejeweled & Bedazzled

When I was a student at the GIA working on my gemology degree, I had the great fortune to meet Paolo Costagli, designer extraordinaire of the pieces above.

He was so sweet and charming, and every inch the perfect gentleman.

I just love his pink and green palette, as well as those lovely turquoise earrings! On my next trip to NYC I will definitely have to make a stop to see him & have a peek at all of the goodies!

What are your favorite jewelry pieces these days? I just love how wearing jewelry--even the smallest pair of earrings, or a simple necklace, can make one feel that an outfit is complete. Dressing up in jewelery--just one of the many fun advantages of being a woman:)

A Pink & Green Birthday

Sweetpea celebrated her first birthday over the week-end. Our theme was Pink & Green (Naturally, right?), and we decorated the house with Lilly pom poms, pink and green hydrangeas, pink / green balloons, and of course, a pink cake. The color of the cake didn't quite come out as planned. We ordered a "pale, ballerina pink" and came out with more of a hot pink...but it certainly was tasty. I think I ate at least half of the cake myself...bad me!

Sweetpea fell in love with one of our guests, they had a ball crawling around the floor and climbing the stairs. Sweetpea is the absolute joy of my life. I can't wait to celebrate many more happy birthdays together.
